In order to be able to give our clients firm deadlines and product quality guarantees for a predetermined price, we have a strict modus operandi. The types of work we undertake are Specified Development, Open Development, Consultancy and Service Provision. Contracts are undertaken in a modular format, where this is necessary, with each contract module as one of the above types. In this way we are able to ensure client satisfaction at each stage is obtainable and product objectives can be assured.

Application development begins with a firmly established technical specification. Consultancy and Open Development are used to create this specification where necessary. From submission of a technical specification, a contract time and price quote can usually be returned within 72hrs. (depending on demand). Fulfilment of the agreed specification within the specified time and for the quoted price is guaranteed in the terms of the contract. Reporting on the progress of the contract is available for the duration and clients are assigned a project manager who acts as a liaison to the development team. In the case of small short term contracts requiring only a single developer, the developer acts as project manager. VTRAD uses only experienced developers to ensure that all projects are completed professionally. In addition to this, each application is thoroughly tested and checked by project managers. A deposit is usually required prior to execution of a contract and the balance is only payable when the application is inspected and approved by the client.

When there is no firm specification to develop an application or product, Open Development allows us to work closely with a client to either establish a specification or to develop on the fly. This is often preferable when the product is changing continuously during development (for example in graphic design). Open Development requires a developer or development team to work closely with a client. Development is charged on an hourly basis with rates agreed prior to commencement. With this more flexible approach the client can use developers on an "as and when" basis and utilise the skills of many different types of developer as the work progresses. This ensures that client is only paying for the expertise that they need right then and there. Unless the client is using a development team the individual developer acts as the primary liaison. VTRAD will also provides a business liaison to manage every project.
